Angele > Look up cute in the dictionary.
Angele > White-winged Dove sitting in the shade of Yucca blossoms. Soaptree Yucca is the New Mexico state flower. Flowers form way above the plant. The plant alone can grow about 12 feet high and add another 10 feet or so for the flower stalk! Roots have saponin used to make soap. Leaves are used to weave baskets and birds pull long fibers to build their nests.

Angele > Roadrunner high in the branches of a Honey Locust tree. Posted a retroactive daily photo of Rudi feeding one of her babies for Dedmanshootn :-)
Angele > A male Bullock's Oriole. This one was really showing his colors.
Angele > Had the camera focused on the Pyrrhuloxia when the House Finch flew in and surprised us both.

Angele > This morning I saw a flock of the #1 bird on my wish list & I almost missed it!! Mr. Thrasher was eating the grape jelly and then flew up to Mrs. Thrasher fed her a bit of the jelly so I kept my camera trained on them for a few minutes hoping for a shot of the feeding. When they separated I lowered my camera and my jaw dropped at the sight just a few feet above in my beloved Honey Locust Tree. A dozen or more Cedar Waxwings Got four clicks of the shutter and then they were off, flying south. A birder's happy day.
