A photo a day, at least I hope so.
White-winged Dove sitting in the shade of Yucca blossoms.
Soaptree Yucca is the New Mexico state flower. Flowers form way above the plant. The plant alone can grow about 12 feet high and add another 10 feet or so for the flower stalk! Roots have saponin used to make soap. Leaves are used to weave baskets and birds pull long fibers to build their nests.
